Michele has a broad spectrum of commercial legal and practical business experience. Among other things, She has acted as bond counsel for the Town of East Greenbush Industrial Development Agency’s $1.2 MM financing of the acquisition and construction of the Robert C. Parker School building, represented the seller in a $14MM acquisition of substantially all of the assets of an ongoing business, and has arranged a Chapter 11 corporation’s sale by sealed bid of its insurance subsidiary. Michele was formerly associated with the law firm of Weil, Gotshal & Manges, LLP where she specialized in business finance and reorganizations.
Prior to being admitted to the bar, Michele was an Assistant Vice President of Commercial and Corporate Lending at Wachovia Bank and, later, at First Florida Bank. As a banker, she was responsible for originating and documenting a variety of loans, including cash flow based loans, loan participations and numerous loans secured by commercial real estate and/or utilizing lease revenues as the sole or primary source of repayment. Michele’s lending experience also includes the utilization of various risk management products such as caps, collars, floors and rate locks.
